On some 64 bit Windows systems, GizmoRip isn't able to find your iTunesMobileDevice.dll. You will need to search your system for this file and copy it to your GizmoRip folder. This is likely to be found in C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleMobile Device Support. Put the iTunesMobileDevice.dll in your C:Program Files (x86)GizmoRip directory. Then you will need to download this patched version of GizmoRip:
http://www.gizmoquip.com/downloads/gizmorip_x86.zip
Unzip that file and copy the gizmorip_x86.exe file to your C:Program Files (x86)GizmoRip directory. Once it is copied over, double click that file to run it.
Please email us at support@gizmoquip.com if you have any further problems with this issue.
More than likely you are running GizmoRip on a 64 bit version of Windows. To resolve this, you will need to download this zip file:
http://www.gizmoquip.com/downloads/gizmorip_x86.zip
Once you have downloaded the file, unzip it and copy the gizmorip_x86.exe file to your GizmoRip folder which is likely at C:\Program Files (x86)\GizmoRip. Then just double click on gizmorip_x86.exe and that should solve your problem.
GizmoRip can copy your music to your hard drive and then you can manually import the music using iTunes. First, determine if GizmoRip has already copied your music files to your hard drive. These files will be located in your default music folder. If not, you will need to disable the iTunes import in the GizmoRip preferences. Then run another restore operation. Once that is complete, open iTunes and use the File > "Add Folder to Library" feature to import your music manually.
GizmoRip will recover music from all iPods, including iPod Touches, iPhones, and iPads.
You can run GizmoRip on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7.
Absolutely. GizmoRip will normally copy the files to your default Music folder.
Make sure you have .Net version 3.5.1 installed. On some systems you can get away with installing 4.0 but in some cases you have to have 3.5.1.
Yes. GizmoRip can restore all of your playlists to iTunes. Simply check the box labeled "Select All User Playlists" before you begin the restore operation.
Yes. Simply click on the playlist you would like to restore to iTunes and hit the restore button.
To get around this issue, attach your iPod and then you will need to hold down Ctrl+Shift while you right mouse click on GizmoRip. Then, select "Run as administrator" from the context menu. Once GizmoRip is loaded, you should see your music tracks loaded into the main screen successfully.
For some people, this option is not available in their context menu. You can also set GizmoRip to always start in Administrator mode by right mouse clicking the icon and selecting Properties. On the Compatibility tab, near the bottom, is an option "Run this program as an administrator". Check this option ON and hit Apply and OK. Run GizmoRip again and this should fix your issue.
More than likely your Apple Mobile Device service isn't running or hasn't been installed correctly. Open your Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and look for the "Apple Mobile Device" service. Right mouse click on it and select "Start". Once it has started, run GizmoRip again. If it won't start, you will need to reinstall iTunes.
